Rumor has it via Hypebot that in light of falling traffic numbers MySpace will restrict free streaming of music and turning on the bean counters. They are dishing out around $20 million a month in royalties and Google is slashing ad payments so it seems like it’s a do or die situation for Mr. Murdoch and Co. It still begs the question, “Would you pay for MySpace?”. I guess free really doesn’t work anymore.

Wow! What a fun day. BTTV made it on to the SXSW homepage. It may not be up there for long so we’ve got a pic below. That’s Todd’s mug lookin’ at ya.
To make things even more crazy our panel got picked via the SXSW Panel Picker. What? Whoa! It’s called “Friend-bases to Fan-bases: Why you must tour now”. We’ll have more details on that in the coming weeks.

So this is pretty cool. The new Death and Taxes (pictured below) has an interactive feature that lets you take a pic of a page with your phone and receive free content (downloads and videos). Of course you’re out of luck if you’ve got a Nokia from 02′ but if your fancy pants and rock a smart phone, it’s quite cool.

Perhaps this tech will make the jump to CD’s and records? Since content is king and exclusivity rules the day, it would only make sense. CBS has already tried putting actual video IN the magazine. The D&T delivery seems a bit better.
Now go run to the book store and try it out. Page 23 has built in retinal scanner.
