Hailing from the back yards and house parties of Santa Cruz, Wooster climbed to the top of the party band pile in 2009 with their debut album, The Heights of Things. Described as ?reaching deep into blues, soul and vintage reggae,? the band is lead by boy/girl vocal duo Brian Gallagher and Caroline Kuspa. The band?s sound fuses Gallagher?s impassioned and raw vocal delivery with the young and beautiful Caroline?s remarkable gift for melody that, when combined with the richness of her tone, creates only the most eloquent of harmonies. With standout tracks like "Ooh Girl," dominating local radio airwaves, the music of Wooster appeals equally to the reggae, blues and indie rock ?n? soul crowds. Reviving a 1970 Ford Shasta, Wooster toured extensively in 2010, playing up and down the California coast from the redwoods of Big Sur to the Viper Room on the Sunset Strip. Highlights included opening for the English Beat and a packed show at the Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco. 2011 will find Wooster working on their next EP while continuing to tour and spread the Woo. Each time the band plays is a celebration and the crowd is there to party.
